Nothing But Cosplay and Stuff! - Salt Lake Comic Con 2014 Day 2

My second video for Making Magic Productions. I think this one might be my favorite. I always try to focus in on peoples' charming moments of expressiveness, and I think this video has it in spade. I particularly like the cheeky lightsaber moment at the end (with Aspen Cosplay Collection and Leanna Vamp).

This is my first video for Making Magic Productions, and I'm still pretty pleased with the results. In addition to video editing, I also did the music editing, and created the splash page for the channel in AfterEffects. It's now used for all of the channel's videos! I'm so proud.

This video had a lot of difficulties, some technical, some in terms of coordinating talent and equipment. So when it all failed to materialize, I simply filmed it with two iPhones, one for video, one for audio.

REGIONS 30sec spot iphone

This was a video for contest held by Regions Bank. Unfortunately, we didn't win, but I still think it turned out great. I made this video with my insanely talented brother, Dustin. You can find much of his work on his channel, Flatspotter. Check him out!

This video was my first real go at using AfterEffects. I also chose the music and edited it for time (again, can you notice the cuts?). Done during my internship at BuyPD (a subsidiary of BaseCampOps).

Wasatch Adaptive Sports Intro

My senior project. I had a good experience with this, serving as the main interviewer (got to interview Steve Young. That was fun!), filmed all of the footage at the Steve Young Open (with a nice sunburn to prove it) and finally, I served as Story Editor, helping our beleaguered editor (who was normally used to skateboarding videos) make sense of the footage and organize it into a coherent message. I think it really solidified for me that I enjoy making things "flow" in a narrative sense.
